Abstract
The article discusses sharing economy in transport car sector. It addresses the history of the
development and forms of shared mobility and the challenges that local governments and
transport companies face in this area.
Methodology: The authors used analysis of the literature. The adopted methodological
strategy involved the snowball sampling method, which identifies scientific articles
addressing shared mobility. Industry studies and quantitative analyses of open statistical
data from databases such as the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office (LDB)
and Statista were also used.
Results: The research indicates that the main challenges for local governments and transport
companies regarding shared mobility include the lack of common legal and organisational
regulations, balancing public and private interests, infrastructure issues, and psychological
barriers.
Main contribution of the paper: The article highlights the importance of shared mobility in
today's economic reality, considering changing trends, consumer attitudes, and sustainable
economic development.
