Modular measuring devices

Abstract

In a paper Mahr’s Multimar measuring tools has been described. Advantages of using modular construction of devices in relation to universal measuring tools have been presented. The possibility of using instruments for a typical measurement tasks has been shown. The possibility of limiting invested funds in the case of choosing modular devices in comparison with universal measuring equipment was indicated. The comparison of measurement uncertainty obtained when using the Multimar 25 EWR modular instrument was compared to universal measuring tools.
