Aims & Scope

The aim of the Advances in Mechanical and Materials Engineering is to advance science in the various aspects of mechanical and materials engineering, including but not limited to design, production, analysis and the development of new technologies in this field. Hence, the reviews and results of original research papers are published, both theoretical and experimental, which address issues pertaining to the materials processing, mechanical behaviour, mechanical testing methods, materials characterisation, microstructure property relationships, as well as metals, polymers, ceramics, intermetallics, biomaterials and their composites.

The journal also deals with problems of tribology in mechanical engineering, development of mechanical manufacturing processes, joining techniques, fatigue and fracture mechanics, robotisation in mechanical manufacturing processes, application of mechanical engineering in transportation and aerospace, and revolutionising mechanical and materials engineering by artificial intelligence technologies.

The role of the journal is to be an effective forum that is a vehicle for the latest technological, material and design solutions, leading to greater cooperation between academics and the business community.

From a purely academic point of view, disseminating research results in a journal will facilitate the scientific development of university staff, including young researchers.
