The procedure for reviewing research articles in Rzeszow University of Technology - Journal of Electrical Engineering (pl. Zeszyty Naukowe Politechniki Rzeszowskiej. Elektrotechnika) is in line with the recommendations of Ministry of Science and Higher Education developed as a booklet „Good practices in reviewing procedures in science” (Warsaw, 2011), and the recommendations of the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers)
The principle of fair play
Articles are assessed on the basis of their substantive relevance, regardless of the author's origin, nationality, ethnicity, gender, race, political views or religion.
Confidentiality
Journal editors are required to maintain the confidentiality of information obtained at every stage of the publication process. Editors and reviewers are obliged not to disclose information about the contents of the edited articles to unauthorized persons.
Decision to publish
The editor-in-chief is responsible for all materials published in the journal "Physics for Economy". The journal's editors manage the process of evaluating the articles submitted to the journal and then accepting them for publication.
The Editors' duty is to correspond with the Author in a manner that does not offend the dignity of the Author.
Conflict of Interest
In the event of any conflict of interest between the editor and the author of the article, the editorial office applies the principle of exclusion.
Ethical standards and responsibilities of reviewers
The reviewer should agree to review only those papers for which they have relevant knowledge. The review should be completed within the specified time.
Ghostwriting and Guest Authorship
To prevent misconduct in science (ghostwriting, guest authorship), the Editorial Team of the Rzeszow University of Technology - Journal of Electrical Engineering has introduced appropriate procedures specific to the disciplines represented and has taken the following measures:
- The editors will require the contributions from the authors in the creation of the article (with their affiliation and the following information: who the author of the concept is, objectives, research, etc.); the primary responsibility will be borne by the person submitting the article.
- The editors will explain the concept of ghostwriting and guest authorship to the authors, which are a manifestation of scientific misconduct, and any detected cases of this type of action on the part of the authors will be revealed, including the notification of the appropriate bodies.
- The editors will obtain information about the sources of publications funding, contribution to research institutions and other bodies (financial disclosure).
- The editors will document all forms of scientific misconduct, especially breaking the rules of conduct obligatory in science.
