Aims
Journal of Civil Engineering, Environment and Architecture (JCEEA) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture of Rzeszów University of Technology.
The journal aims to disseminate high-quality original research that advances knowledge and supports innovation in civil engineering, environmental engineering and architecture. It provides a forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge among researchers, academics and engineering professionals from around the world, promoting interdisciplinary approaches to solving contemporary challenges in the built environment.
JCEEA welcomes manuscripts presenting significant scientific contributions, innovative methodologies, experimental investigations, numerical modelling, theoretical developments, field studies and engineering applications that enhance understanding and support sustainable development in the broadly understood field of civil engineering and the built environment.
Scope
The journal publishes research covering, but not limited to, the following areas:
Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Transport
- structural engineering and structural mechanics,
- structural dynamics and structural health monitoring,
- construction materials and technologies,
- reinforced concrete, steel, timber and composite structures,
- geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering,
- bridge engineering,
- transportation infrastructure,
- construction management,
- computational mechanics and numerical modelling,
- building information modelling (BIM) and digital construction,
- monitoring, diagnostics and non-destructive testing of structures,
- resilience, durability and rehabilitation of civil infrastructure.
Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy

Interdisciplinary studies combining engineering, environmental sciences and architecture are particularly encouraged. Studies in environmental or related sciences should demonstrate a clear relevance to engineering applications, environmental engineering, infrastructure, or the built environment.
Types of Manuscripts
The journal considers the following categories of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles,
- Review Articles,
- Technical Papers presenting innovative engineering solutions supported by scientific analysis.
Submitted manuscripts should present original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Target Audience
The journal is intended for researchers, academics, doctoral candidates and engineering professionals working in civil engineering, environmental engineering, architecture and related disciplines.
Out of Scope
The journal does not normally consider:
- manuscripts whose primary scientific focus falls outside civil engineering, environmental engineering, architecture, or the built environment;
- manuscripts lacking scientific originality,
- preliminary reports without sufficient validation,
- purely descriptive technical reports,
- opinion papers unsupported by scientific evidence,
- conference abstracts,
- promotional or commercial materials.
JCEEA is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific quality, editorial integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial assessment followed by independent peer review in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.
